About Mary Young
Mary Young (born June 21, 1879) was an American actress who made her debut in Hollywood at the age of almost sixty. She appeared in the film “This is My Affair” in 1937 and went on to feature in notable films such as “The Lost Weekend” and “A Star is Born”.
Prior to her Hollywood career, Young was a stage actress and earned her first Broadway credit in 1899. She had a memorable role in the 1913 play “Believe Me Xantippe”. In addition to her stage and film work, she made an appearance on a 1968 episode of Gomer Pyle.
Young was married to Broadway actor John Craig.
