About Mary Sweeney
Mary Sweeney (born January 1, 1953) is a film producer and editor from Wisconsin. She is best known for her work as an assistant editor on the film Blue Velvet and the television series Twin Peaks. In 2001, she received a BAFTA award for her editing on the film Mulholland Drive.
Aside from her career in film, Sweeny was also an avid equestrienne and was involved with the Sullivan Canyon Riders Club where she served as head. She lived with her partner and artistic collaborator David Lynch before marrying him; however, they divorced shortly after their marriage in 2006.
