About Mary Nesbitt
Mary Nesbitt is a Northern Irish movie actress, born on March 9, 2001. She is best known for her role as Tilda in the fantasy film series The Hobbit. Mary is the younger sister of Peggy Nesbitt, who also appeared in The Hobbit films.
Prior to her acting career, Mary’s family relocated to New Zealand after her father was cast in The Hobbit. Despite initial reluctance about the move, both Mary and her sister auditioned for roles in the film series and were pleasantly surprised when they were cast.
After her debut on screen, Mary went on to attend The Charter School in London.
Her father, James Nesbitt, gained recognition through leading roles such as Murphy’s Law while Sonia Forbes-Adam played Belladonna Baggins in The Hobbit films.
