Mary Tyler Moore was an iconic actress who starred in The Mary Tyler Moore Show and played Laura Petrie on The Dick Van Dyke Show. She first started out as a dancing elf named Happy Hotpoint, then went on to star in the 1967 movie Thoroughly Modern Millie and 1980’s Ordinary People. In 1955 she married her first husband Richard Carleton Meeker and they had a son together the following year. Her co-star Ed Asner also worked alongside her on The Mary Tyler Moore Show.
