About Mary del Carmen Sobrino
Mary del Carmen Sobrino is a Venezuelan journalist and TV host, known for her work on the show “Letters From The Heart” which debuted on Venevision in 2017. Her career in broadcasting began in 1984 when she hosted “What Happens in the World” and the news program “El Informador”, which ran until 1991. She then went on to host “Women with History” and “Men Also” for eight years.
Prior to her success as a TV host, Sobrino graduated from Andres Bello Catholic University with a bachelor’s degree in communications. She has also received numerous awards throughout her career, including Announcer of the Year, a Rafael Angel Garcia Award, an Honor of Merit awarded by the Mayor of Sucre, and Recognition of Journalism from UMA among others.
Sobrino was born on June 9th, 1962 in Caracas, Venezuela. She is one of three siblings; she has two older brothers named Fernando and Enrique.
