About Martina Sablikova
Martina Sablikova is a Czech long distance speedskater born on May 25, 1987. She has achieved notable success in her career, including winning numerous Olympic medals, two of which were golds in the 3000 and 5000 meter races at the 2010 Olympics.
Prior to gaining international recognition, Sablikova was a three-time Czech youth champion and set the junior world record for the 3000 meters in 2005. Known for her dominance in long-distance speed skating, she demonstrated her prowess by securing at least one gold medal in every World Championship from 2007 to 2013.
Sablikova hails from a family with strong ties to speed skating; her brother Milan Sablik is also a successful athlete in this sport. Both siblings have achieved world records during their careers.
