Marsha Ambrosius, born on August 8, 1977, in Liverpool, England is a British R&B singer-songwriter known for her work with the group Floetry and her successful solo career. Before rising to fame as a solo artist, she was a prolific songwriter for top acts such as Alicia Keys and Michael Jackson. Additionally, Ambrosius lent her vocals to tracks by various rappers.

Ambrosius has received accolades for her work including winning the Centric Award at the 2011 BET Awards and being nominated for Best Female R&B Artist the following year. She was brought up in Liverpool, England which is famously known as the hometown of The Beatles.
