About Marlene Lufen
Marlene Lufen (born December 18, 1970) is a German journalist and television presenter. She is best known for her long-time role as a host of Sat.1-Breakfast TV and for her more than a decade of hosting the series Fruhstucksfernsehen.
Prior to her career in broadcasting, Lufen was an accomplished competitive swimmer in her youth and also founded her own theatre group. She studied journalism and Spanish at the Free University of Berlin.
In addition to her work as a journalist, Lufen participated as a contestant on Das große Promi Backen, a celebrity baking show, in 2016.
Lufen married sports journalist and presenter Claus Lufen in 1997. The couple has two children – one son and one daughter.
