Marla Thomas (born February 21, 1968) is an American radio host known for her work on the Universal Broadcast Network radio series, The Marla and Dave Show. She gained further recognition for her appearances on Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood as Moniece Slaughter‘s mother.
Prior to her career in media, she married her husband in 1990 while he was a member of the Grammy-winning a cappella gospel group Take 6. Together with her husband, she hosts The Marla and Dave Show. Additionally, Thomas has three children and a grandson named Kameron.
In addition to her radio work, Thomas is also known for running the blog “MarlaTalks,” where she shares personal thoughts and events from her daily life.
