About Marissa Jaret Winokur
Marissa Jaret Winokur (born February 2, 1973) is a stage actress hailing from New York City, New York. She is best known for her starring role as Tracy Turnblad in the Broadway adaptation of John Waters’ film Hairspray. Her other credits include appearances on Dancing with the Stars, Just Shoot Me!, and The Steve Harvey Show. In 2018, she emerged as the winner of Celebrity Big Brother.
Before her rise to fame, Winokur pursued athletics and served as both a cheerleader and captain of her soccer team. Additionally, she is recognized as the great-niece of renowned American writers S.J. Perelman and Nathanael West.
In terms of personal life, Winokur married Judah Miller in 2006; noteworthily he was a writer on the sitcom Stack which featured Winokur’s acting talents. The couple welcomed a son named Zev in 2008.
