Marina Sirtis is a British TV actress born on March 29, 1955, in London, England. She is best known for her portrayal of counselor Deanna Troi on the popular series Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek Nemesis. Sirtis has also lent her voice to the animated series Gargoyles.
Before starting her acting career, Sirtis debuted at Connaught Theater in England. Despite facing resistance from her parents who did not want her to pursue acting, she secretly applied and was accepted into the Guild Hall School of Music and Drama.
Sirtis has a younger brother named Steve and married Michael Lamper in 1992.
