Marilyn Mosby was born on January 22, 1980, in Boston, Massachusetts. She is a politician known for being the 25th State Attorney of the city of Baltimore. Mosby made history by becoming the youngest chief prosecutor in any major American city when she was elected to her position in 2015 at the age of 34. In addition to her political career, she has gained popularity on Instagram with over 40,000 followers.
Prior to entering politics, Mosby attended Tuskegee University for her bachelor’s degree and then went on to earn her law degree from Boston College. She gained legal experience through various internships in Boston before serving as a law clerk and Assistant State Attorney in Baltimore from 2011 to 2015.
One notable event during Mosby’s tenure as State Attorney was when she charged six officers for a variety of charges ranging from second-degree murder and manslaughter in the death of Freddie Gray in 2015.
She was born in Boston Massachusetts but currently resides in the Reservoir Hill neighborhood of Baltimore, Maryland. Additionally, she is married to Maryland State Delegate Nick Mosby and they have two daughters.
