About Maricar Reyes
Maricar Reyes, born on June 20, 1981 in the Philippines, is a Filipina television actress known for her work in popular series such as Maalaala Mo Kaya, Sana Bukas pa ang Kahapon, and Growing Up. Notably, she received a Star Award nomination for her portrayal of Rachel in the 2009 film And I Love You So.
Prior to her acting career, Reyes appeared in various commercials before making her drama series debut in Komiks Presents: Kapitan Boom. In addition to her entertainment pursuits, she holds a degree in biology from Ateneo de Manila University and attended the University of Santo Tomas’ medical school.
In 2013, Maricar married fellow born-again Christian and Filipino singer Richard Poon.
