Maribel Guardia is a Costa Rican-born actress, who starred in popular Mexican telenovelas like Tú y yo and Serafin. She was no stranger to the pageant world, having won Miss Costa Rica in 1978 and competed in Miss Universe that same year. In 1984, she co-starred alongside Andrés García in the movie Pedro Navaja. Her son Julián Figueroa was born from her previous relationship with Joan Sebastian. Later on, Maribel married Marco Chacon in 2010.
