About Maria Manedo
Maria Manedo is an Indonesian-born movie actress, known for her work in Singaporean-Malaysian films during the late 1950s and early 1960s. She gained fame for her roles in movies such as Pomegranate Scarf, Tun Fatimah, and especially Vampires.
Before pursuing acting, Manedo worked as a fashion model. Her birth name was Liesbet Dotulong. She collaborated with her first husband, screenwriter A. Razak Sheikh Mohamed, on the film Vampires.
Following her second marriage to Sultan Abu Bakar Ri’ayatuddin, she retired from film acting.
