About Maria Khoreva
Maria Khoreva is a Russian ballet dancer who was born on July 3, 2000, in Saint Petersburg, Russia. She has been a first soloist of the Mariinsky Ballet since 2018 and is known for her performances as Masha in The Nutcracker and Princess Aurora in the Sleeping Beauty.
Prior to her fame, Maria started taking rhythmic gymnastics classes at the age of 3 and auditioned for the Vaganova Ballet Academy at the age of ten.
Outside of her dancing career, Maria has been named a Nike ambassador. Her parents were both ballet fans who introduced her to performances from an early age. Additionally, she has a younger sister who also trained at the Vaganova Ballet Academy.
