Maria Butt, born on January 1, 1111 in Pakistan, is a renowned fashion designer known for founding the brand Maria B. Her label offers a range of clothing including ready-to-wear, unstitched fabrics, and haute couture. Over the years, she has collaborated with various celebrities such as Sana Javed, Aima Baig and Urwa Hocane and has gained an impressive following of over 4.9 million on her mariabofficial Instagram account.
Before gaining fame as a designer, Maria graduated from the Pakistan Institute of Fashion and Design in 1999. Despite starting her business with a small investment and limited resources – just one shop and a few stitching machines – she persevered to achieve success. In 2016, she incorporated Swarovski crystals into her designs and most recently in 2021 launched a culturally collaborative campaign with Ayeza Khan and Gulsim Ali under her label.
