About Marge Piercy
Marge Piercy is an American poet and author born on March 31, 1936 in Michigan. She is known for her bestselling historical novel Gone to Soldiers as well as other works including Body of Glass, Summer People, and Woman on the Edge of Time. Before pursuing a writing career, Piercy attended Northwestern University and the University of Michigan.
Throughout her works, she has explored feminist themes notably in What are Big Girls Made Of and The Longings of Women. Piercy resides in Massachusetts with her husband, Ira Wood.
