She gained recognition for her portrayal of the perfectionist Bree Van de Kamp on the popular series Desperate Housewives. Prior to attaining fame, she earned a B.F.A. in Acting from the Julliard School.

Additionally, she played Dr. Kimberly Shaw in the ’90s series Melrose Place. In her personal life, Marcia was in a long-term relationship with Richard Jordan before marrying Tom Mahoney in 2006.

The couple welcomed their twin daughters Eden and Savannah into the world in 2007.”
