Manuela Velasco is a Spanish movie actress, born on October 23, 1975, in Madrid, Spain. She gained recognition for her award-winning performance in the 2007 Spanish horror film REC and its sequels. Velasco has also appeared in popular television shows such as Aguila Roja, Velvet, and Aida.
Prior to her fame, she had roles in the 1987 film Law of Desire alongside Antonio Banderas and appeared in several episodes of the Spanish TV series Los Desastres de la Guerra during her childhood. Additionally, from 2000 to 2005, she hosted the Spanish music program Los 40 Principales.
Velasco was raised in Madrid and comes from a family with ties to the entertainment industry; her father is cinematographer Manuel Velasco and her mother is Maria Jose Diez. She is also related to screen actress Concha Velasco.
