About Mama Jones
Mama Jones, born Nancy Jones on April 6, 1959 in New York, is a well-known reality star, businesswoman, youth advocate, and mentor. She gained fame from her appearances on VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: New York and later had her own reality series titled Chrissy & Mr. Jones.
Prior to her television career, Mama Jones attended and graduated from The Fashion Institute of New York City. She also launched her first couture denim line called Gettoe Momz and Gettoe Paz.
In addition to her work in the fashion industry and as a reality TV personality, Mama Jones has pursued various other projects including releasing a single titled “Psychotic,” starting a talk show named Chatt’n With Mama, and authoring a book entitled Mama Jones: My Guide to Love and Romance.
Family is important to Mama Jones; she was married to the late father of rapper Jim Jones – Joseph Guillermo. She is also proud grandmother to Joseph Guillermo III aka Pudy.
