About Majel Barrett
Majel Barrett, born on February 23, 1932 in Cleveland, Ohio, was a TV actress best known for her roles in Star Trek: The Next Generation and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. She also provided the voice of the spaceship computer in these series as well as in Star Trek: Voyager.
After graduating from the University of Miami, she appeared on Leave It to Beaver and later had cameo roles on Babylon 5 and did voice work for Family Guy. In 1969, she married Gene Roddenberry, creator of Star Trek, and they had a son named Rod Roddenberry in 1974.
