About Maia Estianty
Mai Estianty, born on January 27, 1976 in Surabaya, Indonesia, is an Indonesian singer best known for her band Ratu which was formed in 1999. Following the disbandment of Ratu in 2007, she went on to form the group Duo Maia and produces music through her label Le Moesik.
Before gaining fame as a musician, Estianty studied communication at the University of Indonesia and served as a backup vocalist for the band Dewa 19 during this time.
In addition to her musical career, she has also ventured into acting with roles in films such as Lantai 13, Oh My God and Last Sorry Word.
Estianty’s family consists of her parents Harjono Sigit and Kusthini along with five siblings. From 1996 to 2008 she was married to Ahmad Dhani with whom she has three sons – Ahmad Al Ghazali, Ahmad El Jallaludin Rumi, and Ahmad Abdul Qodir Jaelani. In 2018 she remarried film producer Irwan Danny Mussry.
