Maddie Moate (born July 26, 1988) is a British television presenter, filmmaker, and EduTuber known for her work on various TV shows and YouTube channels.
Moate was born in Norfolk, England and studied theatre, film, and television at the University of Bristol before pursuing a career in entertainment.
In 2012, she hosted Newsburst on 02 Guru TV and Home for the Future for Channel 4. Moate gained widespread recognition as the host of CBeebies series Do You Know?, which earned her the BAFTA Children’s Awards in 2017 in the Presenter category.
Beyond her television work, Moate became well-known for her educational content on YouTube as the lead presenter for BBC Earth Unplugged. This led to a one-off TV highlight reel program called It’s a Mad Mad Maddie World! on BBC America. Additionally, she served as the resident technology expert on BBC 5 Live Saturday Edition starting from 2014.
In February of 2018, Moate got engaged to science presenter Greg Foot before marrying him later that same year in Iceland.
