Mackenzie Shirilla is a criminal who gained notoriety for her involvement in the deaths of her boyfriend, Dominic Russo, and his friend, Davion Flanagan. Born on August 2nd, 2004 in Cleveland, Ohio, Shirilla was convicted of intentionally crashing her vehicle at 100 mph into a building where Russo and Flanagan were passengers.
Despite denying any intent to cause harm and claiming memory loss surrounding the incident, overwhelming evidence led to her guilty verdict on all counts. Before the fatal crash, she had allegedly threatened to crash the vehicle with Russo as a passenger following a dispute. There were also documented threats directed at Russo in the months leading up to the tragic event.
Shirilla’s convictions included multiple counts of murder and felonious assault along with aggravated vehicular homicide charges. In addition to these charges she also faced drug possession and possessing criminal tools allegations. Following trial proceedings she received a sentence of 15 years to life in prison.
