Lynne Thigpen was born on December 22, 1948, in Joliet, Illinois. She was a television actress known for her role as Grace Keefer on All My Children and for providing The Chief’s voice on the kids’ show Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?.
Before pursuing a career in acting, Thigpen taught high school English. After moving to New York City, she transitioned into theater and eventually made her mark as a prominent TV actress.
Tragically, Thigpen passed away before seeing the release of her final film, Anger Management (2003), which paid tribute to her in the closing credits. She is survived by her husband Joseph Dale Thigpen.
