Lynne Adams (born October 8, 1946) is a California-born playwright known for her acclaimed one-woman show Two Faced and her play Over Mother’s Dead Body. She gained fame in the 1960s and ’70s for her role as Nurse Leslie Jackson Bauer Norris Bauer on the CBS soap opera Guiding Light.
Before her acting success, Adams portrayed Amy Kincaid on the soap opera The Secret Storm. She is also a descendant of United States Presidents John Adams and John Quincy Adams.
Adams comes from an entertainment family; she is the older sister of actress Brooke Adams and sister-in-law to actor Tony Shalhoub. Both of their parents, Rosalind Gould Adams and Robert K. Adams, were also involved in the entertainment industry.
