About Lyca Gairanod
Lyca Gairanod is a World Music Singer born on November 21, 2004 in Cavite, Philippines. She rose to fame by winning the first season of the Philippine ABS-CBN reality talent competition The Voice Kids (Philippines). Aside from her singing career, she also ventured into acting and appeared in popular series such as Maalaala Mo Kaya and Hawak Kamay.
Prior to gaining recognition through The Voice Kids, Gairanod performed “Halik,” a song by the Philippine band Aegis at her audition. After her victory on the show, she made guest appearances on television talk shows and variety programs including Rated K and It’s Showtime.
Gairanod grew up in poverty in Cavite where she collected discarded items for her mother to sell and sang for neighbors to support her family. Her resilience and talent have earned her widespread admiration among fans both locally and abroad.
