Lucelia Santos, born on May 20, 1957 in Santo Andre, Brazil, is a Brazilian movie actress. She gained fame for her leading role in the popular telenovela Escrava Isaura in 1976. Prior to her acting career, she worked as a receptionist at a weight-loss clinic and later starred in productions of Rocky Horror Picture Show and Transe no 18.
In 2004, Santos was recognized with the Jewel of China medal for her efforts in bridging Chinese and Brazilian cultures. In terms of family life, she has siblings who are also actors: Maurilio Wagner and Cristina Santos. From 1982 to 1986, she was married to conductor John Neschling and they share a son named Pedro who was born in 1982.
