Luba Lisa was born on March 10, 1941 in New York City, New York. She became known for her work as a stage actress, particularly for her role as Addie in the 1964 Broadway musical I Had a Ball. Her performance earned her nominations for a Tony Award and a Theatre World Award.
Before gaining recognition for her work in I Had A Ball, Lisa played Anita in the 1964 revival of West Side Story.
Tragically, Luba Lisa’s promising career was cut short when she died in a plane crash at the age of thirty-one. She was born Luba Goodnick in Brooklyn, New York
