Lorna Paz, born on November 18, 1970 in Cartagena, Colombia, is a soap opera actress known for her role as Patricia Fernandez in the popular show Yo soy Betty, la fea. This role served as the inspiration for the American series Ugly Betty. She has also appeared in Amas de Casa Desesperadas, Casados con hijos and Amor en forma.
Paz began her entertainment career at sixteen by modeling in Diana de Biasse’s academy and made her acting debut in Padres e hijos in 1995. She later guest starred in a 2002 episode of Abierto al anochecer.
Her parents were lawyers named Yadhira Jimenez and Jose Cepeda. Paz has three children with Argentine producer Eduardo Paz: Mariano, Daniela, and Nathaniel.
