About Lonnie Ali
Lonnie Ali (born January 17, 1940) is a philanthropist known as the widow of late boxing icon Muhammad Ali and an advocate for Parkinson’s Disease.
She served as the vice president and treasurer of her husband’s Greatest of All Time company until its sale in 2006. Lonnie knew Muhammad Ali since she was six years old, as their mothers were best friends and they lived on the same street.
In 1982, she became Muhammad Ali’s primary caregiver and he paid for her to attend graduate school at UCLA. She was originally Catholic but embraced Islam after marrying him in 1986.
The couple adopted a son named Asaad Amin when he was five months old.
Lonnie is also known as a baseball fan.
