About Lolo Jones
Lolo Jones is an American runner, born on August 5, 1982, in Des Moines, Iowa. She is best known for her outstanding performance in the 100 meter hurdles event at the Olympics.
Jones experienced a disappointing finish at the 2008 Olympics after tripping and ultimately placing 7th. In the following Olympic Games in 2012, she finished in 4th place.
Prior to her Olympic career, Jones was a track star at LSU where she contributed to her team winning the SEC championship six times. Notably, she also clinched first place in the World Indoor Championships’ 60-meter hurdles event which fueled speculation of her potential victory in the London games.
She grew up mainly under the care of her mother as her father spent much of his time serving in the Air Force.
