About Lois Hamilton
Lois Hamilton (October 14, 1952 – December 23, 1999) was a prominent Ford Model during the 1970s. She gained recognition for gracing the covers of esteemed fashion magazines like Mademoiselle and Cosmopolitan, as well as starring in advertising campaigns for luxury brands such as Hermes, Clairol, and Chanel.
Besides her modeling career, Hamilton made appearances in popular television series like Three’s Company and The Dukes of Hazzard. Prior to her success in the industry, she briefly attended Temple University before pursuing studies at the University of Florence where she earned degrees in art and psychology.
Hamilton had diverse interests outside of her professional life; she held a pilot license and owned a German biplane from 1936. Additionally, she was an artist who showcased her work in various Los Angeles galleries and authored a book entitled “Move Over Tarzan.”
She was born Lois Aurino in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Tragically, Hamilton passed away at the age of forty-seven after overdosing on sleeping pills while staying at a hotel room in Rio de Janeiro
