Liza Wang, born on August 28, 1947, in Shanghai, China, is a renowned TV actress and presenter from Hong Kong. Known by the stage name “The Big Sister,” she has garnered acclaim for her award-winning performances in television series such as Limelight Years, The Awakening Story, and At the Threshold of an Era II.
Prior to gaining fame, Wang attended acting school at the Rediffusion Hong Kong Artist Academy in 1967 and was among its first graduates. She embarked on her television career that same year and later made her feature film debut in Eternal Spring (1974).
Besides her entertainment career, Wang has also been active in politics; she served as a delegate in the National People’s Congress from 1988 until 1997 and was a member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference.
