About Liza Treyger
Liza Treyger is a Ukrainian-American comedian, actress, producer and podcast host known for her self-deprecating comedy and body positive jokes. She was born on August 31, 1987 in Ukraine before migrating to Chicago with her parents during the breakup of the Soviet Union in 1990.
Treyger attended Niles North High School where she was known as the class clown and later started performing standup at open-mike events while studying at North Park University. She briefly attended Iowa State University and Columbia College Chicago before transferring to North Park University.
She has appeared in Judd Apatow’s film The King of Staten Island and the web series Horace and Pete. Additionally, she hosted That’s Messed Up: An SVU Podcast on Exactly Right Media.
Her television appearances include Late Night with Seth Meyers, Chelsea Lately, Lights Out with David Spade. She had a half hour special Glittercheese with Comedy Central and was featured on Variety’s Top 10 comics to watch list in 2017. In addition, she also appeared as part of The Degenerates on Netflix.
Treyger is Jewish and currently resides in New York City.
