About Liz Stevenson
Liz Stevenson is a British theatre director who was born on November 6, 1989, in Lancashire, England. In 2015, she received the James Menzies-Kitchin Young Director Award for her direction of the classic play Barbarians. She is also known for her acclaimed productions of plays such as Blackbird and Midnight at the Hotel Beauregard.
Stevenson grew up in the town of Chorley in North West England and later attended the University of Nottingham. In addition to her directing work, she has taught courses and workshops for children at The Royal Exchange Theatre.
Notably, Liz Stevenson comes from a family with ties to theater; her younger brother is theatre producer Nick Stevenson.
