Liz Renay, born on April 14, 1926, in Chandler, Arizona, was an American movie actress. She is known for her role in John Waters’ cult classic film Desperate Living as well as her association with famed mobster Mickey Cohen.
Before gaining fame as an actress, Renay faced legal troubles and served 27 months in prison after being convicted for perjury related to her relationship with Mickey Cohen. Following her release from prison, she made history by becoming the first exotic dancer to perform alongside her daughter.
Renay was raised in a strict Evangelical Christian family in Chandler before pursuing a career in entertainment.
