Lisa Lois, born on June 22, 1987 in Wageningen, Netherlands, is a Dutch pop singer. She gained fame by winning the second season of the X Factor and achieved success with her cover of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah,” which topped the Dutch Top 40. Her debut album Smoke reached number six on the Dutch Albums Chart.
Prior to her rise to stardom, she attended the Herman Brood Academy in Utrecht. Her debut single “Hallelujah” went double platinum within its first month and was the best-selling single in the Netherlands in 2009.
She was born Lisa Hordijk but changed her name to Lisa Lois in 2009.
