Prior to gaining prominence in television hosting, Kennedy began her career as an intern at KROQ-FM, a radio station based in Los Angeles in 1991. Her work led to opportunities such as hosting Fame or Foe on the Game Show Network for two years and also contributing to WinTuition.
She has two daughters named Pele and Lotus with Dave Lee, who is a professional snowboarder.
