Lindy Chamberlain-Creighton, born on March 4, 1948, in New Zealand, is an Australian woman known for being wrongfully convicted of murdering her infant daughter Azaria at Uluru in 1980. Initially sentenced to prison, she was released three years later when physical evidence supported her original claim that a dingo had taken her baby.
Chamberlain-Creighton moved from New Zealand to Australia with her family in 1949 and received $1.3 million in compensation from the Australian government for her wrongful conviction. She divorced Michael Chamberlain, the father of her daughter, in 1991 and married publisher Rick Creighton the following year.
