About Lincoln Riley
Lincoln Riley, born on September 5th, 1983 in Lubbock, Texas, is a prominent football coach known for his role as the head coach of the Oklahoma Sooners. In 2016, he succeeded Bob Stoops and led the team to significant success including the 2017 Rose Bowl and a #2 ranking in the College Football Playoffs.
Prior to this position, Riley was a walk-on quarterback at Texas Tech University in 2002 before transitioning into coaching under then-head coach Mike Leach. He later served as Oklahoma’s offensive coordinator and quarterbacks’ coach from 2015-2016 before assuming his current role.
Riley’s accomplishments have earned him recognition in the form of prestigious awards such as the Broyles Award for his exemplary work during the 2015 season. Off-field, he is married to Caitlin Buckley and has two daughters named Sloan and Stella.
