Lily Mazahery (born October 10, 1972) is an Iranian American lawyer known for founding both the Legal Rights Institute and the Mazahery Law Firm. She has primarily worked in the field of immigration law and has been involved in advocating for human rights in Iran and North Africa.
Mazahery earned her J.D. in the late 1990s before gaining recognition as an attorney and activist. In 2013, she faced controversy when the Board of Professional Responsibility cited her for dishonest representation of clients and inadequate management of funds, leading to a request to disbar her from practicing law by Washington D.C.’s Court of Appeals.
