About Lilly Pulitzer
Lilly Pulitzer, born on November 10, 1931 in Roslyn, New York, was a renowned fashion designer, socialite and the founder of Lilly Pulitzer, Inc. She gained fame for her creation of vibrant floral print clothing tailored to high society.
Pulitzer attended Finch College in New York City but did not complete her studies there. Known as the Queen of Prep, she enjoyed a successful career as a fashion designer.
During her lifetime, Lilly had three children – Peter, Minnie and Liza – from her marriage to Peter Pulitzer Jr. After divorcing Peter Jr., she married Enrique Rousseau in 1969; their marriage lasted until his death in 1993.
