Leslie Jones is an amazing comedian, actress and writer who has made waves in the entertainment industry. She was nominated for a Writers Guild of America Award in 2015, and has appeared in films such as Lottery Ticket (2010) and Top Five (2014). Leslie also starred in the 2016 remake of Ghostbusters. Before her career took off she was a basketball player at Chapman University and Colorado State University, where she also worked as a DJ at the school’s radio station. It was during this time that Leslie won a college comedy contest – which spurred her to pursue stand-up comedy seriously! Leslie had roles in mockumentary Gangsta Rap: The Glockumentary (2007) and film Trainwreck (2015). Growing up with military parents meant moving around quite a bit but she finally settled down to finish high school in Los Angeles. She received lots of encouragement early on from fellow comic Dave Chappelle.
