Lepa Lukic, born on January 16, 1940 in Yugoslavia, is a renowned Serbian folk singer who has achieved iconic status throughout her five-decade career. She is widely recognized for her hits such as “Srce Moje Je Violina.”
Before rising to fame, Lukic began singing at the age of ten in her hometown of Milocaj.
An interesting piece of trivia about her is that she was scheduled to perform with singer Silvana Armenulic on the night Armenulic tragically died in a car accident. Lukic overslept and missed the performance, an oversight that may have saved her own life.
In terms of family life, Lepa Lukic’s third husband is soccer player Milan Milanovic.
