About Leony
Leony (born June 25, 1997) is a German pop singer and songwriter. She was signed by Sony Music in Australia in 2016 and has since gained over 6 million monthly listeners on Spotify. In addition to her music career, Leony has served as a judge on the reality competition show Deutschland Sucht den Superstar, further solidifying her presence in the entertainment industry.
Prior to her rise to prominence, Leony made her debut on television as part of the band Unknown Passenger on the reality competition show Rising Star. Following that experience, she transitioned into a successful solo career which has earned her accolades such as winning the 2021 New Music Award for Starter of the Year and receiving nominations for a New Faces Award and numerous 1 Live Crown awards.
Aside from music, Leony is also known for being a juror on Deutschland Sucht den Superstar’s 20th season. She comes from an athletic family background with her brother Korbginian Burger being a professional football player.
