About Leni Robredo
Leni Robredo (born April 23, 1964) is a Filipino politician who currently serves as the 14th Vice President of the Philippines. She ran as part of the Liberal Party and previously served as a member of the Philippine House of Representatives for three years.
Prior to her political career, Robredo obtained a degree in economics from the University of the Philippines Diliman and later pursued a Master of Business Administration at San Beda College. She also studied law at the University of Nueva Caceres.
In addition to her political roles, Robredo briefly served as the Co-Chairperson of the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs and was named an honorary Doctor of Public Administration by Polytechnic University of The Philippines in 2015. In 2016, she served as Chairperson for Housing and Urban Development Coordinating Council.
Tragically, Robredo’s husband Jesse Robredo died in a plane crash in 2012. Together they had three daughters: Jessica, Janine, and Jillian.
