Lene Nystrom is a Norwegian pop artist best known as the lead singer for the platinum-selling band Aqua, recognized for hit singles such as “Barbie Girl.” Born on October 2, 1973 in Tonsberg, Norway, Nystrom began her career with part-time work as a model and bartender in the early 1990s before finding fame with Aqua. The band’s lineup also includes Rene Dif, Soren Rasted and Claus Norreen.
In addition to her work with Aqua, Nystrom released her solo album “Play with Me” in 2003. On August 25, 2011 she married Soren Rasted and together they have two children named India and Billy.
