Lene Bausager (born January 1, 1965) is a Danish film and video producer. She is best known as the wife of 1980s pop icon Rick Astley. Bausager has produced films such as 2005’s “Cashback,” 2008’s “The Broken,” and 2012’s “Ginger & Rosa.” She has also worked on music videos, producing Madonna‘s track “Hung Up” in 2005 and her husband’s song “She Makes Me” in 2018.
Before her career in film production, Bausager met Rick Astley in 1987 while working in marketing at his record label in Denmark. The couple began dating in 1989.
In September 2020, amidst the pandemic, she and her husband opted to drive from England to Denmark to visit their daughter Emilie instead of flying.
Bausager married Rick Astley in 2003, and together they have a daughter named Emilie Astley who holds a master’s degree in fine art. Bausager frequently shares family photos on Instagram.
